Sorry I’ve been MIA.
Fall Quarter ended at my university and I’ve been blessed with an entire month off for winter break.
I’ve been spending majority of my time filming videos for my new Youtube channel.
I just uploaded a video on how to do this eye look, if you’re curious!
I also uploaded two other videos that are basically about me being goofy with my friends! I’ve been loving this new hobby and learning so much about video editing. It all has me really hooked and it’s something that I plan to continue for a long time.
I don’t have a set schedule right now because I’ve been staying in my hometown and there isn’t any good wifi anywhere that allows me to upload videos. So I have to drive 3+ hours back home every once in awhile to upload. Once winter break is over then I’ll be able to do a set schedule. 🙂
I’ll leave links to the videos below:

Paint With Us
If you liked any of those videos, let me know! 🙂
So if you know me, you know that I watch Youtube much more than anything else. I watch whatever is on Netflix and The Walking Dead. But I find myself looking through Youtube whenever I have a chance.
I’ve wanted to start a Youtube for awhile now but never really had the encouragement to do it. Having anxiety, I was scared to put myself out there because I was afraid of the comments I would receive from viewers or my friends.
But my roommates have been SO SUPPORTIVE. They gave me the encouragement I needed so I filmed my first video a few days ago! I had to make my first video about makeup, of course. But I’m not only going to be doing makeup tutorials. I want to do fun, crazy videos with my friends. Maybe even DIYs and cooking videos. It’s honestly just going to be a mesh of everything.
I’ve done so much research on getting things that I need for the channel. I’ve looked into tutorials on how to work iMovie to get the best results so I can give you guys an enjoyable and quality content in my videos. I really want this to work out so that it’s something that maybe I can even turn into a career. Youtube is such a strong platform and it’s really something that I want to pursue.
I’m in the works of prepping for my next video that hopefully I will record tonight or tomorrow. But I hope that you guys enjoy my first video. 🙂
Of course, you can always leave tips if you happen to have a Youtube yourself. I’m will take any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and work with it. If you happen to watch my video, leave a comment that my blog sent you there! 🙂
Hope all my fellow students out there are surviving finals week!
I could have included this in my previous post, but since I categorize my posts I wanted to write a separate post for this one.
This banana bread is actually so special. Well, not specifically this banana bread, but the recipe is.
My mom a long time ago submitted a recipe to an author of a cookbook and they ended up inserting it into the cookbook! I just find that so cool. My mom makes this banana bread all the time, so it definitely brings back memories from when I was younger.
When I was a Senior in high school, I originally wanted to be a Baker. So for my senior presentation I baked this banana bread and let the judges indulge in it while I went on with my presentation.
Below is the recipe. I hope you guys enjoy it! 🙂
1 cup shortening (such as crisco buttery flavor baking sticks)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten well
2 cups mashed bananas
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
Place the shortening and sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until light & fluffy.
Add the eggs, one a time, beating after each.
Beat in bananas.
Slowly mix in baking soda & flour until completely blended.
Pour into 2 greased & floured 9x9x2 inch pans.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick (or sharp knife) inserted in center comes out clean.
Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
Hope you guys had a great tuesday! 🙂
As you all know from my previous blog, I spent this last week in Eugene, Oregon. It was so great seeing my friends and doing fun things with them! The week went by much faster than I expected, sadly. But winter break starts next Thursday so I’ll be back with them soon. 🙂
Silly me forgot to take photos that day though. So unfortunately, this blog will be photo-less.
I’m still going strong with being a vegetarian so my Thanksgiving plate consisted of stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and some dinner rolls. It was all sooooo good.
Thanksgiving has to be my favorite time of the year because of all the food. I honestly have a bottomless pit for a stomach.
We finished off the night with yummy pumpkin pie and just spending quality time together.
I hope your Thanksgiving was just as great and filled with yummy foods!
For the week of Thanksgiving break I get to spend it down in Eugene, Oregon with 3 of my dearest friends.
It’s always such a long, tiring drive down here but once I get here, I never want to leave! Eugene is such a perfect place for me but my heart is back home with my roommates. I hate leaving them because I consider them family now but I always get so sad when I leave my best friend. 😦
But I’m so THANKFUL to have such amazing people in my life. The relationships I’ve created since I moved out of my parents house have had an amazing impact on my life. Since graduating high school I’ve found out who is most important to me and have wanted to continue to have a great relationship with me.
Yesterday we got to go out to dinner at an Asian restaurant and then go play Laser Tag (which I never have done). It was so funny because there were these two little kids and we thought we were gonna totally beat them and they completely whooped our butts. I’m talking they got 20,000+ points and we got anywhere from 5-10,000+ points.
We then played mini golf which turned into such a fun and goofy laughing fest. The mini golf also had an arcade so we spent a good while playing games and getting little prizes. To finish off our night together we screamed Alicia Keys in the car ride home.
I finished off my night by taking an awesome bath and listening to chill tunes on Spotify.
Day 1 in Eugene was definitely a day to remember.
Over the past few weeks I have come to learn who is willing to put their 100% into a friendship (like I am) and those who aren’t.
A friend isn’t someone who only hangs out when it’s convenient for them.
A friend isn’t someone that knows your struggles and then continues to exploit them.
A friend definitely isn’t someone that breaks you down instead of helping you grow.
I hate that I’m just now realizing this or even gaining the strength to do something about it. But I guess it’s better to realize it now rather than later, you know? I’m honestly so sorry if you have someone in your life that just isn’t living up to be the person you wish they would be. But also realize that it’s not so horrible in the end. You don’t need that in your life, anyway. If anything, they did you a favor by letting you realize that your life and spirit is so great and you don’t need anything less than amazing.
If anyone came up to me and was like, “Hey, I really need to talk to someone,” I would accept them with open arms and help them the best I could. I know now that if I did that for someone else, sometimes I wouldn’t get that in return.
I’m not sure if the bullying I experienced in school shaped me to be who I am or if I was naturally born this way. I just know that a friendship is a two-way deal and it needs even inputs of love and kindness for it to last.
